PROPOSAL ENGINEER

1. OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
Produce high quality successful proposals according the standards, procedures and strategy of the organization and ensures a correct, effective and efficient handing over process of proposals / contracts to other departments.

2. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To timely initiate and control all activities required to generate and update a proposal and report on the status of his/her proposals and possible obstacles to the COM management
• Document all relevant proposal information.
• actively participate in improvements..

3. SPECIFIC TASKS
• Advise on bid-no bid.
• Participate in the determination of proposal winning themes and strategy.
• Produce a planning for proposal preparation, including all necessary activities (e.g. preparation, reviewing, translation, etc).
• Occasionally, when required and agreed, act as project leader of a proposal team
• In case deemed necessary, and in coordination with the sales managers, support in customer contacts
• Seek clarification from customer on unclarities of RFQ (under responsibility and in agreement with Sales) through customer contact or meetings
• Organize internal proposal reviews, according to the relevant procedures (e.g. lost order report)

4. COMPETENCES

a. Education
Bachelor level, technical or business oriented with a strong affinity to technique
b. Additional Training
- Ansaldo Thomassen General Gas Turbine Training
- Relevant SAP modules
c. Experience
- 2 years experience in similar position and businesS
d. Personal skills
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Dutch & English language, both verbal as in writing. Knowledge of German and / or French language is preferable.
- . Stress resistant and persistent
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Ability to manage and drive for results.
- Will demonstrate adaptability
- Good negotiating skills
