SERVICE ENGINEER CONTROLS
1. Objective of the position
Executing various service work activities on heavy duty GE gas turbines Frame 3, 5, 6, 6FA, 9 and 9FA at our (inter-) national customers.
2.Primary responsibilities
- Execution of preventive (planned or unplanned) and corrective maintenance as well as commissioning activities. Such as performing control enhancements at existing equipment at clients as well as commissioning and start up of control systems; programming and performing software checks and solving errors of controls software; working directly with external vendors, perform factory acceptance testing and support installation and validation of systems on site.
- Act as ATH ambassador.
- Planning, control and coordination on site of operation and maintenance.
- Quality control for in- and output of site activities and parts supplied.
- Focal point for the customer in the field.
- Observing and applying all local and company safety regulations (SH&E procedures).
3. Specific tasks
- Performing work place inspections and toolbox meetings.
- Performing check of required materials and tooling for the specific activity.
- Taking all necessary corrective actions together with the Field Support Engineer and Project Manager.
- Providing recommendations to the customer for better running conditions of the units after consulting with ATH specialists and Project Manager.
- Reporting SH&E procedures deviations.
- Providing full reports after outages and on daily operation. And ensures the infromation exchange between the field service organization and the commercial teams
- Search for any opportunity to reduce costs and maximize additional work.
4. Competences
a) Education
- Higher Vocational Education (HBO); Electronic/Electrical/Controls Engineering
b) Additional training professional skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and preferably Dutch and/or another European language.
- Technical and mechanical knowledge of gas turbines and its related equipment.
c) Experience
- Experience on gas turbine Frame 3, 5, 6, 6FA, 9 and 9FA and DLN units (maintenance, relocations etc.)
- Experience in commissiong, start-up or field service engineering
- Minimum 2 years experience with GE Controls - GE Speedtronic Mk-I, Mk-II, Mk-IV, Mk-V or Mk-VI for gas turbines
